Germany: New Creepy Attraction at Filmpark Babelsberg

Filmpark Babelsberg, in which German horror and fantasy movie classics like “Nosferatu”, “Dr. Mabuse” and “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari” have been produced, has opened “Dock 8” as a new permanent scary attraction in its park area. In “Dock 8” visitors attend a 15 minutes show in which the hull of a mysterious submarine is discovered. Fog rises inside the submarine, the light begins to dance and a shrill warning sound unsettles the audience. The mad scientist Sam and his colleague try to find an explanation for the events. They communicate via the command area’s monitors until the equipment fails in service, Sam disappears and the machine itself takes control … The guests will find themselves in a horror scenario, the end of which remains unclear.

“Thanks to our successful horror nights we know that visitors appreciate this genre and that they like to get involved as fare as they dare,” said Friedhelm Schatz, Managing Partner of Filmpark Babelsberg. The new show, which can host 30 guests per session, is under direction of Olaf Mordelt, Managing Director of the company One World Studio. (eap)
