Germany: Roland Mack Honored with Lifetime Award 2017
During this year’s Euro Attractions Show (EAS) in Berlin, Dr.-Ing. h.c. Roland Mack, owner of Europa-Park, was honored with the “Lifetime Award” from the Kirmes & Park Revue magazine for his achievements in the amusement and attractions industry. “Roland Mack is a visionary, an entrepreneur and a tradition-conscious person with a lot of courage, who has pushed our industry, the manufacturing companies as well as amusement and leisure parks forward,” said Dr. Werner Stengel, who received the award in 2015, in his laudation.
Roland Mack proudly accepted the award: “This award is a great honor for me, which would not have been possible without the unconditional support by my family for years, so this award is also dedicated to them. Of course, I also thank all our employees,” said Mack, who was honored with the German Gründerpreis Award 2016 (German award for entrepreneurs) and was accommodated into the “Hall of Fame” of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) last year (cf.
