Haven Acquires Seal Bay Resort as Its 40th Holiday Park
(eap) British holiday park operator Haven, a portfolio company of Blackstone since 2021, has announced that Seal Bay Resort on England’s south coast has been acquired by Blackstone and will become part of the Haven portfolio. Located on the Selsey Peninsula, east of Portsmouth, Seal Bay offers more than 2,500 pitches. The resort will continue to operate under its current name until the end of this year before transitioning to the Haven brand for the 2027 season.
“I’m delighted that we are welcoming Seal Bay to the Haven family. It’s a fantastic park in the most stunning location and will sit brilliantly alongside our 39 other parks. Haven’s mission is all about making memories that last a lifetime and we can’t wait to start working with the Seal Bay team to deliver this for thousands of holiday makers and owners in the years to come,” said Simon Palethorpe, CEO of Haven.
Haven currently operates 39 holiday parks in coastal locations across England, Scotland and Wales. In addition to accommodation, all parks feature an indoor swimming pool, a supermarket and food and beverage outlets from well-known brands such as J D Wetherspoon, Papa John’s, Burger King, Millie’s Cookies and Slim Chickens.
Since Blackstone acquired Haven five years ago, more than GBP 700 million (approx. EUR 828 million) has been invested across its holiday parks. Most recently, for example, the water park at Haven Kent Coast Holiday Park on the Hoo Peninsula underwent an extensive refurbishment and expansion (read more in our upcoming EAP issue 6/2026). In recent years, Haven has also acquired the Richmond Holiday Centre, now operating as Haven Skegness Holiday Park, as well as Holivans Caravan Park in Mablethorpe. ■
