Hofis Erlebnispark: Two New Attractions in Dasing

(eap) The new Hofis Erlebnispark in Dasing, Bavaria, which opened its gates to visitors for the first time this year, has already expanded its offering with two new attractions: “Tucker-Gucker” and “Ackerflitzer”. Both tractor rides are based on the autonomous driving system developed by German manufacturer aufwind Rides.

Both experiences invite guests to take a ride in vehicles designed to resemble tractors. While Tucker-Gucker has been conceived as a family experience without an age restriction, allowing passengers to discover the colourful Hofis world and its many animals along the route, Ackerflitzer incorporates a 4D cinema experience as the finale of the ride and can be used by children from a height of 90 centimetres when accompanied. For the 4D cinema finale, the Ackerflitzer tractor autonomously drives onto a motion platform. A large-format projection of a specially produced 3D film featuring the Hofis characters Resi, Schorschi and Lumpi, combined with synchronised movements of the platform, creates a 4D experience. The 3D film was also produced by aufwind.

Ride times for Tucker-Gucker and Ackerflitzer are 4.5 and 6.5 minutes respectively. With a comparable utilisation of both tractor routes, the combined capacity is up to 480 people per hour. The bodies of the electrically powered, autonomously driven tractor vehicles were manufactured entirely using 3D printing technology.

aufwind RIDES’ autonomous driving system was first installed at Ravensburger Spieleland for the attraction “Scotland Yard – Die Jagd nach Mister X”. A special feature of the further-developed vehicle technology is said to be that the vehicles can be controlled autonomously both forwards and in reverse.

Since 4 September, Hofis has also been presenting its large pumpkin exhibition featuring various pumpkin figures, a spooky maze and Halloween activities. More about the “berry-themed” and currently autumnally decorated leisure world in Dasing can be found in EAP issue 4/2026. ■
