Jenkinson’s Boardwalk Invests in New Attractions

Patriot’s Run, Jenkinson’s Boardwalk’s brand new family roller coaster celebrating US’s 250th anniversary.

(eap) The US amusement park Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, located directly by the sea in Point Pleasant Beach in the state of New Jersey, recently opened a new coaster. According to the park, “Patriot’s Run” represents its largest investment into a ride to date. At the same time, another new attraction for the 2027 season has already been announced with “Maelstrom”.

The new roller coaster from Italian manufacturer SBF Visa can be used by children from a height of 43 inches (one meter) when accompanied by an adult, and alone from 48 inches (1.20 meters). It reaches a height of 40 feet (twelve meters) and features a track of more than 1,110 feet (approx. 335 meters) in length. Its maximum speed is around 25 mph (40 km/h). Three trains with two cars each are used, offering room for up to eight riders.

Patriot’s Run was designed in the colors red, white and blue – inspired by the US flag and this year’s 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States on 4 July. On Thursday, 16 July, the new roller coaster is scheduled to be officially inaugurated as part of the “Red, White, and Ride!” event. The event at the Boardwalk will be accompanied by an entertainment program and fireworks.

In addition, Jenkinson’s Boardwalk announced Maelstrom last week as a new flat ride for the 2027 season. It is set to be a Scramblers® ride from the US company Eli Bridge Company. The attraction will be housed indoors in the “South Beach Arcade” and embedded in a themed setting with storytelling and special effects.

“At Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, we’re always looking for new ways to improve and enhance the guest experience while continuing to offer something unique for families visiting the Jersey Shore,” said Alex Taylor, Marketing & Brand Manager at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. “Maelstrom represents a significant investment in the future of our property and will bring an entirely new type of attraction to Point Pleasant Beach. We can’t wait to share more details as the project progresses.”

In addition to various rides, the Boardwalk, founded in 1928, also includes a mini-golf facility, an aquarium, various F&B offerings, live entertainment and seasonal events. ■
