LEGOLAND Florida Announces New Indoor Coaster with Space Theme for 2026

(eap) LEGOLAND® Florida Resort in Winter Haven has announced a new indoor roller coaster with a space theme, scheduled to open in early 2026. The fully enclosed family coaster, which is set to become “the most technologically advanced attraction” at the entire resort, is being developed by Merlin Magic Making (the creative team behind operator group Merlin Entertainments) in collaboration with the LEGO Group.

“This is more than just a ride! It’s a fully immersive mission that starts the minute guests enter the building. From lift off to landing, the result is LEGOLAND Florida’s most ambitious attraction to date — built for explorers big and small,” said Blake Boyter, Senior Project Manager at Merlin Magic Making, describing the upcoming family attraction, which is being supplied by German manufacturer ART Engineering.

According to the storyline developed specifically for this new experience, guests will embark on a journey through a creatively designed LEGO galaxy from the “LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885,” named in tribute to the LEGO® Space Scooter Set #885. Before “take-off,” the story-driven queue area is intended to immerse families in the adventure. Surrounding the space-themed coaster, a themed area will include the “Orbital Outpost” shop and a DUPLO play area for toddlers aged 1 to 4.

The official ride name and opening date will be revealed at a later time.

A nearly identical attraction is currently under construction at LEGOLAND California Resort. With a total investment of more than 90 million US dollars across both LEGOLAND locations, this marks the largest single in-park investment in the history of the parks. ■
