(eap) The German Bodensee-Therme Überlingen continues to expand its digital infrastructure. After the spa, which is located directly on the shores of Lake Constance, had comprehensively modernized its offering and introduced dynamic pricing last year, the facility is now additionally relying on a visitor management solution to optimize visitor flows. Its operating company, Aqua Park Management GmbH, which manages several other German swimming pools, thermal spas and sauna facilities in addition to the Bodensee-Therme, is pursuing a clear strategy: data-based decisions are set to play an even greater role in operational and strategic management in the future.

For this purpose, the operators are relying on a visitor management technology from the German company purematic. With the help of the solution, the spa is able to receive real-time available data on visitor flows, length of stay and the use of individual areas for the first time. “Our goal is to develop a significantly better understanding of when, how and where our guests move within the facility,” explains Max Sandreuther, Operations Manager of the Bodensee-Therme. “This transparency not only helps us in daily operations, but also in the long-term further development of our offering.”

The insights gained are intended to enable more precise crowd management by allowing peak times to be identified at an early stage and managed in a targeted manner. This would make it possible to reduce waiting times, use capacities more efficiently and improve the overall experience for guests. In addition, the new database is to create the foundation for strategic decisions across the entire group. Other facilities of Aqua Park Management could also benefit from the insights gained and best practices in the future. ■
