Legoland Discovery Center Planned for Atlanta

In mid-February Merlin Entertainments announced plans for the construction of a 12 million dollar Legoland Discovery Center (LDC) in Atlanta, Georgia / USA scheduled to open in 2012. The indoor attraction will open at the shopping destination Phipps Plaza. The new LDC will offer a range of interactive play areas including a 4D cinema, exciting Lego rides and one of the so-called Miniland exhibits designed to reflect the iconic buildings and skyline of each individual attraction’s location. The construction is expected to begin in July of this year. (eap)
