(eap) In December 2026, “MSC World Asia” – the newest “World Class” ship of Swiss cruise line MSC Cruises – is scheduled to enter service. The ship is expected to sail on seven-night cruises in the Mediterranean, calling at popular destinations such as Barcelona, Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples and Valletta (Malta). MSC Cruises has now presented the extensive family entertainment offering that guests will be able to experience on board the vessel in an expanded form.

MSC Cruises Vice President of Entertainment Steve Leatham said: “As a family-owned company, MSC Cruises knows what it takes to keep the whole family happy on holiday, with tailored family entertainment activities and facilities for guests of all ages. On board MSC World Asia, family entertainment will reach new heights – bigger, bolder and more innovative than ever. Featuring our widest range of programmes yet, alongside immersive, interactive and personalised experiences for everyone from toddlers to teens, families can expect truly extraordinary moments at sea.”

Following the successful premiere of “The Harbour” on sister ship “MSC World America”, the popular outdoor adventure area is also planned for the “Family Aventura” area on board MSC World Asia, featuring a new design. Highlights will include a high ropes course, the “Cliffhanger” swing extending beyond the ship’s railing, the two water slides “Twin Racer” and “U Drop”, as well as the 81.3-meter-long dry slide “Tree of Life”. Another addition will be “The Clubhouse”, a venue where children and adults can play together and enjoy creative activities. The offering will include, among other things, a “LEGO® Family Zone” and a bumper car attraction.

The family entertainment on board will be complemented by the “Luna Park Arena”, where interactive digital gaming experiences such as specially developed game shows will take center stage. In the more than 1,000-square-meter “Doremiland”, guests will also have access to various age-appropriate areas – from the Baby Club to Junior and Teen Clubs. Various stage shows with live entertainment, wellness offerings, more than 40 bars, lounges and restaurants as well as more than 20 different cabin types – from luxury suites to family cabins – are set to further enhance the holiday comfort for travelers. ■
