Mandoria Celebrates Fifth Anniversary with Bobsled Coaster Opening

(eap) Mandoria, the indoor theme park that opened in Rzgów, Poland, in 2021, inaugurated its new outdoor roller coaster “Valtor” a few days ago. With the family ride – a Bobsled Coaster supplied by German manufacturer Gerstlauer Amusement Rides – the park is giving itself and its visitors a special gift for its fifth “birthday”. At the same time, the attraction marks the first installation of this ride type in Poland.

Its boar-themed cars travel along a track measuring around 600 metres. // Photo: Courtesy of Mandoria Riders take their seats in individual cars accommodating four passengers each, divided between a front and a rear row, before setting off on their adventure along the 600-metre track. The cars are designed to resemble wild boars, while the ride’s additional theming was likewise developed in accordance with the customer’s wishes and is intended – like the entire theme park – to reflect the atmosphere of the Renaissance period in early 16^th-century Poland. Also described as a “modern version of a Wild Mouse”, the Bobsled Coaster brings Mandoria’s offering to a total of five roller coasters and more than 30 attractions, the majority of which are located indoors within the park’s total area of just under three hectares.

Daniel Zieliński, Vice President of the park, which is operated by the Polish Ptak Group, commented: “Every roller coaster at Mandoria has been designed to offer a different experience. We already feature a Launched Coaster, a Family Coaster in complete darkness and several family rides with distinct layouts. Valtor introduces an entirely new ride system to our collection, and as Poland’s only Bobsled Coaster, it is another important milestone in the park’s development […].”

Mandoria is open to visitors all year round and, in addition to a diverse selection of rides, offers further entertainment options, shops and a total of eleven restaurants and food outlets. ■
