New Dark Ride Opens at Hunderfossen Today

(eap) Shortly after opening for its 2026 season in mid-May, the Norwegian family amusement park Hunderfossen in Lillehammer is today celebrating the official opening of its new dark ride attraction, “Rally Flåklypa”. The themed ride, which is based on the Qvisten animated film “Flåklypa – fra Paris til Pyramidene”, released at the end of last year, tells the story of a crazy inventor and his friends who set out to take part in a rally “from Paris to the Pyramids” in order to demonstrate the capabilities of their vehicle powered by an environmentally friendly biofuel.
The new attraction was implemented by the Belgian company BoldMove Nation in an existing building at the park. It uses the provider’s trackless Rogue Rides ride system as well as the “Kamino” show control solution, image technologies, special effects and a comprehensive sound system. The media content for the attraction was developed by Qvisten.
With Rally Flåklypa, Hunderfossen is adding to its portfolio of more than 60 rides and entertainment formats with a themed ride based on a popular Norwegian IP, thereby creating a unique new experience for visitors. More about this latest investment by the family excursion destination, which also features a hotel, a children’s farm, a train station and a campsite, will soon be available in EAP magazine. ■
