New Forest Adventure Lodge, LEGO Friends Movie & More at LEGOLAND Deutschland

(eap) LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort (Merlin Entertainments) in Bavaria (Germany), is opening its new “Forest Adventure Lodge” just in time for this year’s season start tomorrow. The complex consists of three houses with a total of 80 themed rooms for four guests each, a restaurant and a playground. The themed rooms each have a separate children’s area, an associated terrace or balcony and Augmented Reality applications. In the evening, regional Bavarian-Alpine cuisine is served in the associated “Hungry Bear” restaurant. Over 1,000 photovoltaic modules with a total output of 458 kWp (kilowatt peak) are installed on the roofs of the lodges and the restaurant. According to the park, this is enough to supply all 80 rooms with electricity and heat. The Forest Adventure Lodge complements the Legoland Holiday Village’s existing range of overnight accommodation consisting of castles, the Pirate Island and the NINJAGO® Quarter.

“With the Forest Adventure Lodge, the designers from Merlin and LEGO have once again outdone themselves. Everywhere you look – in the hotel, in the restaurant and in the outdoor area – they have created a forest and meadow adventure world with great attention to detail, where our guests will feel at home and have lots of fun together,” says LEGOLAND Managing Director Manuela Stone, adding: “The demand for overnight stays in our unique LEGO theme worlds is constantly increasing. Last year, with the opening of LEGO Mythica, we were able to significantly increase our guest numbers in the park and inspire even more guests from all over the world to visit our LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer a wonderful new accommodation option this season.”

In addition to the forest adventure lodge, LEGOLAND Deutschland will have further innovations in store for its guests this year. At the start of the season, the world’s first LEGO Friends 4D film “Alien Invasion” will premiere in the park’s “LEGO Studios”. The three-week event series “Play Unstoppable” also starts tomorrow with various interactive stations throughout the park. May will then be all about the popular NINJAGO heroes, because “this brand is one of the most popular ones among children,” says Manuela Stone.

From the end of June to the beginning of September, the Legoland event team will be presenting a globally unique, interactive show about the dream world adventures of “LEGO DREAMZzzTM” on the large show stage of the “LEGO Arena”. Legoland Deutschland will be open a total of 256 days this year – the regular season (230 days) will be followed by the second edition of the winter special (26 days), which attracted over 26,000 enthusiastic visitors last winter.

The new Peppa Pig Park will open right next to LEGOLAND Park at Whitsun this year. Read more about the second gate of Legoland Germany in one of the next EAP Magazine issues. ■
