Original-Size Lego Ferrari at Legoland Florida

Original-Size Lego Ferrari at Legoland Florida

(eap) LEGOLAND® Florida Resort, located in Winter Haven, recently unveiled its new impressive LEGO® figure: an original-size “Ferrari 296 GTS” model that took around 1,850 hours to build. The Lego speedster measures around 4.6 meters (15 ft) length, 2.3 meters (7,5 ft) width and 1.2 meters (4 ft) height. The model even has working headlights, an opening driver’s door as well as a roaring engine mock-up. This detailed Lego model will adorn the new “LEGO® Ferrari Build and Race” area, which opens on March 8.

Three different zones will await visitors there. From a build zone, where young and old can create their own Lego racing cars, to a test zone, where the previously built cars can be sent into the race on three different test tracks, to a digital zone, where visitors can scan their own cars and take part in a virtual race. Also, there will be a Lego DUPLO® building area for the youngest guests. The Lego Ferrari attraction follows last year’s partnership announcement between British operator Merlin Entertainments and Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari. ■
