New Water Slide Opens at Saanich Commonwealth Place

(eap) The Saanich Commonwealth Place leisure center in Saanich, British Columbia (Canada), which served as a venue for the “Commonwealth Games” in 1994, recently put a new water slide from Canadian manufacturer WhiteWater West into operation. This is an “AquaTube” with a height of ten and a length of 76.5 meters.

“We’re thrilled to introduce this brand-new slide to our world-class facility. Saanich Commonwealth Place is a beloved destination for countless individuals and families in our community, and we’re confident this new slide will bring joy for years to come,” highlights Saanich Mayor Dean Murdock.

The new slide replaces the old model installed by WhiteWater in 1993 and features colorful, patterned fiberglass sections designed to make the ride more appealing. Children are permitted to slide from a minimum height of 40 inches (102 centimeters). ■
