New at Familypark: “Filippo’s Restaurant”
(eap) Austria’s Familypark in St. Margarethen (Burgenland) now offers its guests a new dining option: “Filippo’s Restaurant”. The venue is located in the medieval-themed area “Erlebnisburg”. Its design reflects the look of a knight’s castle, featuring battlements, towers, an atmospheric forecourt, and an outdoor area staged as a medieval marketplace. According to the park, particular emphasis was placed on cooperating with regional companies during planning and construction.
Compagnie des Alpes, the operating group of Familypark, invested 8.5 million euro in the new facility. With 970 square meters of indoor space and an additional 330 square meters of outdoor seating, the restaurant provides capacity for a total of 480 guests. A modern central kitchen of over 400 square meters functions as the logistical hub for the park’s food and beverage operations. Offices and staff rooms are located on the upper floor. In addition to daily park operations, the new restaurant also caters to groups, companies, and seminar organizers with a separate event room equipped with modern technology.
“Filippo’s Restaurant is more than a gastronomic expansion – it is a symbol of the strategic development of Familypark,” emphasized Filip De Witte, Managing Director of Familypark. “With this investment, we are strengthening not only the guest experience at Familypark but also the regional economy.”
The culinary offerings range from grilled and roasted dishes to vegetarian and vegan options prepared with regional and partly organic-certified ingredients. A show-cooking station provides insights into the preparation process, while a separate coffee station is intended to invite visitors to linger. ■
