(eap) Canada’s Niagara Parks agency has announced the world premiere of a new interactive experience based on James Cameron’s “Avatar” franchise. “AVATAR: Guardians of Eywa, a Magic Walk™” is scheduled to open on 17 May 2027 at the Table Rock Centre overlooking Niagara Falls. The innovative entertainment format combines an interactive walk-through experience with a live acrobatic show, immersing visitors in the fascinating world of Pandora.

The experience begins with guests exploring the fictional moon’s rainforests and coastal reefs at their own pace. Interactive installations will allow them to engage with Pandora’s flora and fauna. This will be followed by a live show combining spectacular acrobatics and robotics with storytelling.
The new experience was developed by IMMEX, owner of the MagicWalk™ live entertainment format and is being produced by EMM Williams Productions under licence from Disney Theatrical Group and Lightstorm Entertainment. Montréal-based Moment Factory is responsible for the design and creative production. “We are thrilled to help bring this one-of-a-kind experience to life, combining beautiful multimedia environments with live acrobatics. Our team, for the design and the creative production, had the privilege of diving deep into the world of AVATAR to help craft an authentic experience for Niagara Falls visitors,” says Jonathan St-Onge, Executive Director of Moment Factory, Originals.

“AVATAR: Guardians of Eywa is a defining moment for our company and for the future of immersive live entertainment. We are incredibly proud to bring this world premiere to life in Niagara Falls alongside Disney Theatrical Group, Lightstorm Entertainment, IMMEX, Moment Factory and Niagara Parks,” emphasises Tony Haswani, President of EMM Williams Productions.
The experience is scheduled to run at the Table Rock Centre from 17 May until early September 2027. The project is being financed through private investment and supported by Canada’s “Creative Export Canada” programme. Niagara Parks expects the new attraction to further strengthen the region’s appeal as a tourist destination. “We are proud to welcome a world-class experience that will redefine entertainment in our destination, attract visitors from around the world and showcase Niagara Falls as a place where iconic natural beauty and extraordinary experiences come together,” says Graham Coveney, Chair of Niagara Parks.
