NinjaCross: The New Attraction at Europabad Karlsruhe
(eap) At Karlsruhe’s Europabad leisure pool complex (Baden-Württemberg, Germany), guests can now enjoy a new sports highlight: Yesterday, the facility officially inaugurated “NinjaCross”, a modular climbing and obstacle course installed above the swimming pool. Reminiscent of the popular TV format “Ninja Warrior”, the attraction promises fun and action. On two different courses – one for beginners and one for advanced users – visitors can put their dexterity, strength, and stamina to the test. Swing elements, balance stations, climbing and hanging obstacles, as well as diving sections with rings to pass through, challenge participants. The advantage: anyone who loses their grip simply falls safely into the water. The installation, which represents an investment of 50,000 euros, was developed and implemented by the local company Roth & Challier. The Nettebad in Osnabrück (Lower Saxony) also offers a Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course above the water.
With this new offer, which replaces the former “AquaCross” course (opened back in 2010), the operators in Karlsruhe aim to attract children and teenagers, athletically ambitious guests, as well as families and recreational athletes. Welcoming over half a million visitors annually, Europabad ranks among the established leisure facilities in the region. ■
