(eap) In Rosersberg (Sigtuna Municipality) in Sweden, located about a 25-minute drive north of Stockholm, one of the largest indoor waterparks in Northern Europe is planned to be developed. The responsible authority recently granted a building permit for the new tourism project, which is being carried out by Swedish developer Vi Invest. The plan includes an indoor waterpark featuring more than 20 attractions as well as an associated hotel. The latter is scheduled for a second construction phase and will comprise around 200 rooms, a wellness and spa area, a restaurant, and a café. Construction of the waterpark is planned to begin in early 2026.

This is beneficial for the entire Sigtuna Municipality, and it feels very good that the lengthy process has now finally been concluded,” said Municipal Council Chairman Mattias Askerson. ■
