Spindeln combines hopping and spinning movements to the rhythm of the spider’s own music.

(eap) Last weekend, the amusement park Gröna Lund in Stockholm started its 143rd season. This year, too, the traditional amusement park in Sweden’s capital is attracting visitors with several new attractions. Two new rides, a new temporary themed area as well as fresh F&B and experience offers await visitors in the current season.

One of the two new attractions is the “Super Jumper” flat ride “Spindeln” (Engl. “Spider”) by the Italian SBF Visa Group, which had already been announced last year (see EAP News of 16 Sept. 2025). The attraction is said to be the first of its kind in Sweden and at the same time the world’s first Super Jumper in which younger children can also ride as it is approved for guests from a height of 100 centimetres and an age of four years when accompanied by an adult.

The second new attraction can be found in the likewise new “K-street” – an area inspired by the popular Korean “K-Pop” music genre, which can be experienced here exclusively in this year’s season. “K-pop Bumpers” is the name of the new ride, a bumper car attraction with round cars by the Sela Group. The ride, with a capacity of ten people per round, was previously located at Skara Sommarland under the name “BadringsBumpers” and had already made a guest appearance at Gröna Lund as part of the “Winter Wonderland” event in 2022. For the K-Pop area, it has now been newly themed and lets guests from 120 centimetres in height and seven years of age cruise to K-Pop sounds.

In addition to “K-pop Bumpers”, visitors will find Korean-inspired meals and snacks such as sushi burritos, noodle cups, Korean bowls and K-Popcorn with various seasonings on “K-street”. At the new wheel of fortune “K-beauty by KICKS”, participants can win Korean beauty and skincare products, while at “Soda Pop” or “Hot Cup Knockdown” they can put their skill in can-tossing and -shooting to the test. Further games such as air hockey and claw machines can currently be found by visitors in “Spelhuset”, which is located in the area of the breakdancer “Pop-Expressen”. The latter is currently being reworked and is set to return in a new form in 2027.

Also in 2026, the fluffy comic figures “Gnuttarna”, which were introduced at the park last year (cf. EAP News of 28 Apr 2025), are back at Gröna Lund. In addition to the new show “Gnuttarna spränger berg” on the “Lilla Scen”, the curious creatures appear in additional special formats such as the “Gnuttdisco” as well as during early park openings. The concert summer at Gröna Lund furthermore comprises more than 60 concerts on the stages “Stora Scen” and “Lilla Scen”. ■
