(eap) With the opening of its new attraction “Les Toucans” a few days ago, the Parc des Combes, located in Le Creusot in Burgundy, France, delights its guests. The novelty is a tower ride of the Italian manufacturer Technical Park of the model type Flying Dutchman, which was installed here for the first time in the world.

The interactive ride, which is particularly suitable for families with children, is equipped with a total of eight moving gondolas, which are attached to outrigger arms via ropes. As soon as the gondolas are slowly pulled upwards to a height of 20 meters, the central tower rotates on its own axis, allowing the 16 passengers (two per gondola) to enjoy the view of the town of Le Creusot and its surroundings. By operating the front wing of the bird-themed gondola, passengers can themselves swing their gondola sideways during the flight, depending on the desired intensity. Guests are allowed to ride accompanied from a height of 90cm.

Almost 800,000 euros were invested in the new attraction, 200,000 euros of which were subsidized by the Conseil Régional. Park Director Mathieu Chevalier is particularly pleased about the successful integration of the themed attraction into the landscaped park area. ■
