(eap) The FunZone-Erlebniswelten group, which offers leisure activities such as laser tag, escape rooms and paintball in various cities across Germany, has taken over the Lasertag Arena Denzlingen (Baden-Württemberg) and reopened it on 5 December under the name LaserZone following several weeks of renovation. “When we heard that the arena in Denzlingen was going to be sold, we didn’t have to think twice. The location in the immediate vicinity of Freiburg and the popular tourist regions of the Black Forest and Kaiserstuhl is ideal,” says FunZone Managing Director Patrick Wrobel.

The laser tag arena comprises a playing area of a total of 1,000 square meters, where up to 40 players can duel at the same time. In addition to laser tag, the location also offers several escape rooms and a pixel games playing field. FunZone-Erlebniswelten is not only taking care of operating the existing facility but is also investing in the location. “We rebuilt the laser tag arena from scratch – with new obstacles and technology. We also completely modernized the rest of the location over the past few weeks and gave it a fresh appearance.”

As part of this process, the existing pixel games attraction was relocated within the building to a new position offering better visibility. The various escape rooms have remained in place and will continue to be available to guests in the future. The addition of further attractions in the future is also possible, Wrobel says: “Within our group of companies, we have a great deal of experience with a wide range of leisure offerings. It is conceivable that we might also add further attractions at the Freiburg-Denzlingen location in the future.” ■
