Schlitterbahn Plans to Open Fifth Waterpark

Two weeks ago the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Schlitterbahn Waterpark took place near Corpus Christi, a coastal city in the south of the US state of Texas. Schlitterbahn Beach Country in Corpus Christi will feature Schlitterbahn’s signature water attractions like the “Torrent Tidal Wave River” or the surfing ride “Boogie Bahn”, kid’s areas, and, of course, tube slides. The waterpark is being built on 26 hectares of what is now a golf course. Parts of the golf course will remain. The opening of Schlitterbahn’s fifth waterpark is scheduled for 2014. (eap)
