(eap) From July onwards, guests at the Baden-Württemberg, Germany-based Schwaben Park will be able to enjoy a new attraction aimed at the whole family and focused on shared experiences. The ride will be called “Turbo Toni’s Wäscheschleuder” (roughly: Turbo Toni’s Washing Whirl) and will take the form of a Wild Swing supplied by ART Engineering. For its thematic integration into the park’s overall design concept, the new attraction will draw on a story from the region. According to the storyline, the raccoon “Turbo Toni” has unexpectedly built a dryer himself as part of an experiment – a machine intended to dry the entire village’s laundry at once. Like a giant washing spinner, items of laundry are hurled through the air – as are the riders on board the Wild Swing.

“It’s not about becoming ever more extreme or louder. We want to create attractions that can be experienced together and fondly remembered,” said Managing Director André Hudelmaier. He continued: “[…] If a grandmother boards the ride with her grandchild and both get off smiling, then we’ve done a lot of things right.”

When accompanied by an adult, children aged three and up and measuring at least 90 centimeters in height will already be allowed to ride. The experience will be complemented by a bespoke soundtrack composed specifically for the attraction by IMAScore. The Paderborn-based company has previously composed music for Schwaben Park attractions such as “Hummel Brummel” (see EAP issue 3/2020) and “Wild Hilde” (see EAP issue 1/2019), the latter of which will be installed at Freizeitland Geiselwind from the coming season. The planned start of the season in Kaisersbach is 28 March.

More details on additional new attractions planned for the 2026 season at leisure parks across Europe can be found in our upcoming March/April issue. ■
