Sensoria: Lavender Experience Summer with New Themed Station
(eap) Sensoria, the “House of Fragrances and Flavours” in Holzminden (Germany), which opened a few months ago, is now holding its first themed year: visitors can look forward to various experiences centered around the medicinal and aromatic plant lavender. In addition to a wide range of events such as lectures and workshops, a corresponding is now part of the exhibition.
The themed station presents visitors with numerous everyday lavender products. Several touchscreen stations provide information on various aspects of the plant. From 3 June, lavender can be experienced through sight, touch and scent in a multi-sensory form through works created by scent artist Camilla Nicklaus-Maurer. For example, the staircase to the ‘Laboratory of Fragrances’, the mirrors in the washroom and the bench in the foyer are artistically integrated into the exhibition to create new sensory experiences. Gourmet workshops, specialist lectures and a creative course on the decorative use of lavender round off the special program, which kicks off a new rotating theme series.
A detailed feature on Sensoria’s unique exhibition world, that is fully equipped with fragrance technology from Magic Box, can be found in the cover story of EAP issue 6/2024. ■
