Silver Dollar City Resort Names General Manager

(eap) Silver Dollar City Resort in Branson, Missouri, is visibly taking shape. As construction of the new hotel progresses, the resort team is also coming together. Erling Acosta has now been appointed General Manager of the resort. In this role, he will oversee operations and build a team of more than 250 employees.
Acosta has more than two decades of leadership experience in the resort industry and most recently served as General Manager of the 2025 opened Okana Resort & Indoor Waterpark in Oklahoma City. “We’re creating something truly special,” said Acosta. “Every decision we make is centered on delivering exceptional service and unforgettable family memories from the moment guests arrive.”
When it opens in 2027, the resort is expected to feature 262 rooms, a two-storey lobby overlooking Table Rock Lake, indoor and outdoor pools, a full-service restaurant open to both resort guests and the public, as well as more than 20,000 square feet (1,850 square meters) of indoor and outdoor event space. Resort guests will also benefit from exclusive perks, including a direct shuttle service between the resort and Silver Dollar City, exclusive ticket packages and expedited ride access. The hotel complex is the centerpiece of Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts’ ten-year investment plan, which represents a total investment of half a billion US dollars. ■
