Six Flags Qiddiya City Opens with Record-breaking Attractions
(eap) The first major theme park flagship of the Saudi Arabian megaproject Qiddiya City has commenced operations: Six Flags Qiddiya City celebrated its official opening on December 31, 2025. Located around 60 kilometers southwest of Riyadh, the park is the first Six Flags theme park outside North America.
The park spans six themed areas and offers a total of 28 attractions at launch. These include record-breaking rides such as “Falcon’s Flight” (Intamin) – currently the world’s fastest, tallest, and longest roller coaster, “Iron Rattler” (Vekoma) – the world’s tallest tilt coaster, and “Spitfire” (Intamin) – the tallest inverting coaster. In addition to these and other thrill attractions, Qiddiya City also focuses on family-oriented experiences. These include the interactive themed ride “The Enchanted Greenhouse” (Jora Vision/ETF Ride Systems/Alterface) and the dark ride “Into the Deep” (Triotech). The attraction portfolio is complemented by a wide range of food and beverage outlets as well as several merchandise shops.
