Taunus Wunderland Introduces New Digital Visitor Management
(eap) As a regional amusement park with a family target group, Germany’s Taunus Wunderland in Hesse welcomes around 260,000 visitors annually. The park currently offers more than 60 attractions, designed especially for adults with younger children, complemented by several themed restaurants and entertainment formats. In order to further optimize the guest experience amid rising visitor numbers, the park has recently implemented a new digital visitor management solution.
In the webshop, visitors now benefit from new functions and reduced ticket prices when booking in advance – while the park gains planning security and can regulate demand through flexible pricing models. In addition, a couponing module is integrated, enabling customized discount campaigns. On site, hardware has also been upgraded: three new check-in counters for faster admission, seven shop and 13 F&B registers, two vending machines for spontaneous ticket purchases, as well as three turnstiles with control terminals for efficient access management. All booking, sales and access data is consolidated in the background system – ranging from webshop transactions and POS sales to admission control. Reporting provides real-time data on ticket sales, visitor numbers, and F&B and retail revenues – serving as a solid basis for both operational and strategic decisions by the operator. The partner for the new visitor management system is the German provider entervo-access.
Dennis Friedrich, Operations Manager at Taunus Wunderland, commented: “With entervo-access, we have introduced a modern solution that offers our guests a comfortable visit while making our internal processes significantly more efficient. From online ticket purchase to access control, everything now runs smoothly – a real gain for families and for our team.”
This year, the park has invested not only in the new visitor management system: in the themed area “Arya’s Dragon Gorge,” the interactive labyrinth “Energy Crystals & Goblin Treasures” has recently been added, inviting visitors to puzzle, discover and marvel (as reported in our EAP News of July 11, 2025). ■
