(eap) Germany’s Therme Erding near Munich welcomed a total of 1.9 million visitors last year, making it the most successful year in the bath’s history. The thermal bath started the new year with record visitor numbers back in January 2023. With 210,000 visitors, the public pool recorded its most successful month ever in August last year. In mid-August, Therme Erding also welcomed its 30 millionth guest. Other highlights included the opening of the new indoor tube slide “Big Bang” (see EAP 1/2023) as well as 129 event days. Among them the popular “90’s Party” with the Vengaboys, the “Bayern 3 Beach Party” with Max Giesinger and the first “Sauna Festival”, where a world record was set with 59 nations in one jacuzzi.

This year, Therme Erding is celebrating its 25th anniversary with various events and a scratch card promotion. From March, prizes worth over five million euros await visitors as part of the campaign. Managing Director Marcus Maier is looking forward to the coming months: “We have a fantastic 25 years of thermal spa history behind us and we would like to thank our loyal guests in particular. The anniversary is the perfect setting for this and the scratch card promotion is just one of many highlights awaiting our visitors this year.” ■
