(eap) On August 17, 2023, Owner Jörg Wund and General Manager Jacqueline Plan-Ertl welcomed the 30 millionth guest to Therme Erding near Munich. As the 30-millionth guest, 25-year-old Luis L. was surprised with an annual pass for the world’s largest leisure pool and thermal spa complex. “Welcoming the 30-millionth guest today is a major milestone on the way to our 25th anniversary, which we will celebrate next year. The entire spa and hotel crew gives all their best on 365 days a year, and I am very proud that we have been providing guests with dream vacations for almost a quarter of a century,” Wund said.

Therme Erding has already had the most successful first six months in its history – by the end of the year, the destination expects to have attracted more than 1.9 million visitors, making it the best calendar year ever. One of the factors contributing to the success of Therme Erding is the steady expansion of the leisure pool – new attractions are regularly being integrated, such as the new indoor half-pipe slide “Big Bang” (find out more about the giant water slide in our EAP cover story published in issue 1/2023). ■
