Therme Group & CVC Partner on “Therme Horizon” Joint Venture

(eap) As recently announced by Europe‘s Therme Group and Luxembourg-based investment company CVC, the two firms are partnering on a strategic joint venture under the name Therme Horizon. The new holding company will be valued at over one billion euros and is intended to serve as a platform for further growth in the field of urban wellbeing destinations based on Therme Group’s concepts (see EAP News for current Therme Group projects).
Following the closing of the transaction – expected by the end of this year, subject to regulatory approvals in Germany and Romania – Therme Group and CVC will become equal partners in the new company. The joint venture will include the existing Therme Group facilities Therme Erding (Germany) and Therme Bucharest (Romania), which together welcome around 3.5 million guests annually. In addition, CVC will also co-invest in the development of Therme Manchester (UK), which is currently under construction and, according to Therme Group, is scheduled to open in late 2028 as Europe’s largest water-based wellbeing destination.
