Thomas Mazloum Named Chairman of Disney Experiences

(eap) Thomas Mazloum, who has served as President of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, since 2025, will succeed Josh D’Amaro as Chairman of Disney Experiences. As The Walt Disney Company announced yesterday, Mazloum will in his new role oversee a portfolio comprising theme parks, cruise ships, resort hotels, adventure and expedition travel as well as consumer products. D’Amaro – who will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on 18 March – describes Malzoum as an execptional leader with a genuine appreciation for cast members and a proven track record of delivering growth: “His focus on service excellence, broad international leadership, and strong connection to the creativity that brings our stories to life make him the right leader to guide Disney Experiences into its next chapter.”

Mazloum, who was born in Austria, began his career with Disney in 1998 as hotel director for Disney Cruise Line. He later became General Manager for Food & Beverage and Special Events at the EPCOT theme park. In 2002, he left the company and spent 15 years in various leadership positions at Crystal Cruises, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the luxury cruise line. When Mazloum returned to Disney in 2017, he initially served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Walt Disney World Resort, where he oversaw, among other things, 31 Disney hotels as well as the shopping and dining district Disney Springs. He then served as President of Disney Signature Experiences, where he played a key role in driving the further development of Disney Cruise Line. Most recently, as President of the Disneyland Resort, he oversaw two theme parks, three hotels and the shopping and entertainment district Downtown Disney.

All Rights Reserved In addition, Disney has filled several further key positions within the leadership team of the Disney Experiences division to drive its growth: Jill Estorino will assume the role of President of the Disneyland Resort, Tasia Filippatos becomes President of Disney Parks International, and Lisa Baldzicki has been appointed President of Disney Consumer Products. All three will report to Mazloum going forward. Their new roles will also take effect on 18 March in connection with Disney’s annual shareholders’ meeting.
