Tropicana Stadthagen Reports Visitor Record and Invests in the Future
(eap) The Tropicana Stadthagen leisure pool in Lower Saxony, Germany looks back on a successful year 2025: With a total of 344,762 guests, a new visitor record was achieved (2024: 342,141). To meet the growing popularity of the pool and further increase comfort for guests, Tropicana is now making targeted investments in the expansion and modernization of its changing areas.
The planned new changing area will be specifically tailored to the needs of families with children. A dedicated area for parents and children will be integrated, as well as a playpen for the youngest guests, allowing parents to keep their little ones safely in view. Larger lockers, shelves, and additional storage space are intended to ensure that even extensive luggage can be accommodated without difficulty.

A special highlight is the planned digital play corner for toddlers in this area. A “Living Table” by German company vertigo systems is to be installed there, where young guests can engage interactively and playfully while parents use the changing facilities in peace. The concept is rounded off by a calming color and spatial design intended to emphasize the relaxed atmosphere of the facility – entirely in keeping with the Tropicana motto “Dreaming under Water”. Accessibility also plays a central role in the planning. Barrier-free access and suitable facilities are therefore part of the plans.
Overall, around 350,000 euros will be invested in the new changing area. The investment is said to be a clear response to the wishes of the pool’s guests: “Our visitors have repeatedly expressed the desire for more comfort when changing, especially families with small children,” explains Kerstin Klotz, Managing Director of Tropicana Stadthagen. “We want to fulfill these wishes and, with the new changing area, offer not only more space but also a particularly innovative concept.” ■
