USA: Bowlmor AMF Sets Up New Laser Tag Facilities at Ist Bowling Center-Locations

The US company Bowlmor AMF, one of the world’s largest bowling center operators, recently contracted the Creative Works design company to set up new laser tag facilities in three different bowling centers located in the Southeast of the USA: AMF Western Branch Lanes (Virginia), Bowlmor Lanes Strike Miami (Florida) and Bowlero Columbus (Georgia).

Laser tag facilities in Georgia and Florida have been designed as “urban battle zones”, featuring broken concrete walls, steel girders and smoke-filled city skylines. Furthermore, the Miami location has a local flare with included palm trees in the murals, local street names on signs and other iconic pieces throughout the space. The AMF Western Branch Lanes bowling center has a completely different style. Visitors encounter themselves in a military outpost, which creeps into a luminescent forest. Inspired by the movie “Avatar”, this theme has fluorescent plants and trees, thick glowing foliage and 14 robots that tower over the arena.

These new attractions mark a trend within the bowling industry already observable for some years now. Traditional bowling centers remove some of their lanes to create space for new attractions like laser tag arenas, arcades, high ropes courses and other games to enhance the guest’s experience and to keep them in the doors for a longer time.
