USA: Schlitterbahn Announces New Major Attraction for Galveston Island

The US-based waterpark chain Schlitterbahn Waterparks and Resorts recently published a short video clip announcing the opening of a new attraction at its Galveston Island, Texas facility next year. For the time being, Schlitterbahn Galveston Island does not reveal what kind of ride it will be but according to the teaser, visitors can look forward to a massive new attraction. “Next year will be our tenth anniversary and we are ready to do something big. If everything goes as planned, we’ll have more news at the first of the year,” says Ron Sutula, Schlitterbahn Galveston Island’s General Manager.

The Schlitterbahn waterparks are well-known for their spectacular rides. Summer 2014 saw the opening of one of the world’s highest water slides at Schlitterbahn Waterpark Kansas City, Kansas (cf. EAP, issue 5/2014). (eap)
