USA: Six Flags Fiesta Texas Opens Its Three New Thrill Rides

Six Flags Fiesta Texas, located in San Antonio, launches three new and thrilling visitor attractions on the park’s Fiesta Bay Boardwalk – the looping coaster “Fireball”, manufactured by Larson International Inc., which has been inaugurated on May 11th, 2016, as well as the Zamperla Disk’O “Hurricane Force 5” and the Tilt-A-Whirl carousel “Spinsanity” from Larson (we reported on this in EAP issue 6/2015). “Fireball” is a “Giant Loop” for adrenaline junkies, which runs both forwards and in reverse. The attraction has seats for 24 riders who sit down face-to-face before they dangle head over in a height of approx. 22 meters (72 feet). Another novelty is “Hurricane Force 5” which rotates with 14 revolutions per minute clockwise and contra-clockwise. The 24-passengers hurricane-shaped disc arcs from side to side on an almost five-story high half-pipe track. The innovative attraction is the first-of-its-kind in the state. The third new attraction with the name “Spinsanity” is a modern adaptation of a traditional Tilt-A-Whirl providing more panoramic, unobstructed views. In addition to these three new thrill rides, the entire Boardwalk area now offers special guest amenities, including new colorful facades on all of the Boardwalk offerings as well as new food and game locations.
