(eap) The Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort in Rust surpassed the threshold of seven million visitors in a single year for the first time in the past 2025 season – fittingly coinciding with the celebrations marking the park’s 50th “birthday”. This record figure once again consolidates Europa-Park’s position as one of Germany’s leading tourism and leisure destinations, renowned well beyond the country’s borders.
Europa-Park owner Roland Mack commented: “250,000 visitors came to Europa-Park in its opening summer of 1975. Fifty years later, we were able to record a new milestone with seven million guests, exceeding all our expectations for this special year. First and foremost, this is a vote of confidence from our loyal guests, who value Europa-Park with the Rulantica water world, Eatrenalin and our hotels as a holiday destination and continue to rediscover it time and again.”
In 2025, the Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort once again generated growth impulses through the targeted further development of its offering. Milestones included, among others, the premiere of the first feature film produced by Mack, entitled “Grand Prix of Europe”, as well as the interactive family attraction “GRAND PRIX EDventure” based on the film (cf. EAP 3/2025). While special activities and experiences celebrating 50 years of Europa-Park were offered throughout the entire year (read also our anniversary report in EAP 2/2025), the official anniversary celebrations took place in July as part of a major gala event (cf. EAP news of 14 July 2025). Another special moment was celebrated by the park in November, when the 150-millionth guest since the park’s foundation was welcomed (cf. EAP news of 11 Nov 2025).
The range of offerings also expanded with regard to the year-round operation of all associated resort facilities. At the Rulantica water world, the new outdoor pool “Svømmepøl” added an additional year-round relaxation area (cf. EAP 3/2025). Europa-Park Camp Resort was expanded and further developed into “Silver Lake City” in order to create additional overnight accommodation directly at the resort (cf. EAP news of 28 May 2025). This year, the “Western town” will continue to grow as well: alongside log cabins, covered wagons and tipis, the “Riverside Western Lodge”, featuring 119 rustic rooms, is scheduled to welcome its first overnight guests over the course of the year. In addition, a brewery will open, serving freshly tapped Europa-Park beer in the “Wild Horse Bar”. From the summer season onwards, the Principality of Monaco is set to open as the 18th European themed area.
More information on these and other planned new developments at the Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort, as well as at other European leisure facilities that are further developing their visitor offerings through concrete investment plans, can be found in the EAP Park Report, which will be published in the upcoming magazine issue (March/April 2026). ■
