Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: “Return to Azkaban”

(eap) To mark the 20th anniversary of the third film of the “Harry Potter” series, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter presents a new feature: “Return to Azkaban”. From May 1 through September 4, 2024, visitors will be able to discover a new theme set, including the Divination Classroom, an extension of the “Knight Bus”, props from Professor Lupin’s “Defense against the Dark Arts” classes and the book ordered by Hagrid with the title of “Care of Magical Creatures”.

At the new set, Harry Potter fans will not only have the chance to marvel at the backdrop lined with 500 old teacups, but will also be able to discover the original costumes of the three main characters Harry, Ron and Hermione as well as of “Professor Trelawney”. Another highlight will be the opportunity to get a glimpse inside the Knight Bus: a bus for stranded witches and wizards… To remodel this magic means of transport, a third floor was welded onto a traditional London double-decker bus and painted in the iconic purple colour. Thanks to a complete cross-section of the set, the bus will no longer only be visible to visitors from the outside, but also from the inside. Just like Harry during his bumpy ride through London, guests will experience the moving knight in action – including rattling and moving beds.

In the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Leavesden, where a great deal of all eight Harry Potter films was shot, visitors have been able to discover authentic Wizarding World sets up close since 2012. Until May this year, visitors can still enjoy the special feature “Magical Mischief”, which is dedicated to magical film tricks. ■
