This month, Austria’s Swarovski Kristallwelten (Engl.: Swarovski Crystal Worlds) welcomed its 15 millionth visitors. The “magical number” was cracked by a couple from Bangalore (India) who, when entering the experience world, was surprised by the acrobats, artists and illusionists of Kristallwelten’s ongoing “Summer in the Giant” event program. Besides Austria, Germany and Italy, India meanwhile is among the origin nations from which the “crystalline” visitor attraction welcomes most of its guests.

“15 million visitors from more than 60 nations show the continuing appeal of Swarovski Kristallwelten and make it the most international place in Tyrol since its opening in 1995,” says Stefan Isser, Managing Director of Swarovski Kristallwelten. Carla Rumler, Cultural Director & Curator, adds, “We are proud that Swarovski Kristallwelten has permanently been showing courage to transform and create something new, enthusing so many guests from all over the world.”

The 14-million visitor mark was reached in February 2018 (cp. EAP News of 14 Feb 2018). One of the latest additions to the brand experience world was a carousel decorated with Swarovski crystals, designed by Spanish designer Jaime Hayon and placed in the garden landscape of the visitor attraction (cp. EAP News of 18 July 2019). (eap)
