(eap) The edutainment park Vulcania, located in the French Auvergne region, has opened its latest attraction, “Expédition Hawaï”. The walkthrough, which comprises several stages, takes visitors on a journey to Hawaii, immersing them in the archipelago’s spectacular volcanic landscape (cf. EAP News of 23 Feb 2026).

The indoor attraction comprises several stages featuring physical theming, multimedia installations and special effects. “Volcanologist Lila” appears to visitors on screens and accompanies them on their tour, the highlight of which is likely to be surfing on a glowing lake of lava. The experience is staged using a platform and multimedia content displayed, among other things, on screens mounted on the walls of the room. The attraction was realised in partnership with the French company 5motion.
In addition to Expédition Hawaï, Vulcania has also added a new evening show to its visitor offering: “Primordia, la naissance du monde” celebrates the creation of the Earth in an impressive way through a coordinated choreography of sound, light and pyrotechnics. The show takes place on selected dates in July and August. ■
