30th Edition of MAPIC in Cannes Kicks Off Today

(eap) For the 30^th edition of the French retail real estate trade fair, organizer RX France has fundamentally revised the concept of MAPIC in Cannes to adapt the focus of the fair to a changed market situation in the retail sector. With an earlier date in the month, MAPIC 2025 will take place from November 4-5. This more compact two-day event is intended to emphasize the primarily commercial nature of MAPIC. It will be followed on November 6 by a “NextGen Retail Day,” which is reserved for invited guests. The aim here is to bring together students and executives from top real estate companies to take a closer look at the future of retail.

Under the new slogan “The International Retail Leasing Hub,” this year’s Mapic will primarily present itself as an international meeting place for commercial landlords and tenants who want to exchange ideas and make new connections. The more compact trade fair format and the reorientation of content are attributed to the fact that fewer new retail development projects are currently being launched and real estate experts are having to focus more on the conversion and optimization of existing assets and retail leasing. ■
