Trade Fair Duo aquanale & FSB 2025 Kicks Off in Cologne

(eap) The trade fair duo aquanale – International Trade Fair for Sauna.Pool.Ambience and FSB – International Trade Fair for Public Space, Sports and Leisure Facilities opened today at Koelnmesse. Both events will run through Friday (31 October), welcoming professional visitors from municipalities, commercial leisure facilities, thermal spas, and water parks, as well as private visitors in the pool segment.

At aquanale, held in halls 7 and 8, the focus is on new developments in the areas of pool, sauna, wellness, and ambience. Covering an exhibition space of around 40,000 square metres, more than 280 companies from Germany and abroad are showcasing their products. Water attractions such as slides and play equipment, solutions for modern visitor and operations management, smart control technologies, and other innovative products for water parks and leisure pools can be found, among others, at the exhibitors’ stands surrounding the “EWA Village” in hall 8. The European Waterpark Association (EWA) is dedicating its central members’ meeting point this year to the theme “Digital Waterparks” and is presenting a special exhibition aligned with this topic. On Wednesday, the association will officially present its “EWA Awards 2025” to the winners announced in September (c.f. EAP News of 9 Sept 2025).

Belgium is the partner country of this year’s aquanale: as part of the “International Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum”, which serves as the accompanying congress programme to the trade fair, there will be a dedicated session focusing on the Belgian pool market. In cooperation with the German Swimming Pool and Wellness Association (bsw), which once again serves as the conceptual sponsor of aquanale, there will also be a stand presentation in hall 7 dedicated to Belgium’s pool industry. Architecture enthusiasts are invited to visit the exhibition area “Swimming in Atmospheres”, curated by the architecture firm 4a Architekten, featuring photography of notable pool architecture.

© EAP-Magazin In halls 9 and 10, exhibitors of this year’s FSB are presenting playground equipment and physical activity facilities. The focus topics are inclusion and ecological sustainability. Many playground equipment manufacturers are showcasing barrier-free play modules and inclusive design concepts. From climbing structures and new safety surfacing solutions to themed large-scale installations – operators of leisure attractions will also find exciting innovations at FSB to attract families with young children through distinctive playground experiences.

A review of the trade fair duo, along with selected new products we discover in Cologne, will be featured in the first EAP issue of 2026 (to be published on 5 January). ■
