Aquatopia Water Park: PowerRAPIDS Celebrates Debut

(eap) Visitors to Aquatopia Water Park – part of Sun World Hon Thom in the south of the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc – can now experience the world’s first “PowerRAPIDS” water ride from ProSlide. The attraction type, which was presented at IAAPA Expo 2025, combines a classic sliding experience with sections reminiscent of a water ride. For this purpose, PowerRAPIDS features shallow-water channels in which riders experience a dynamic “river adventure” similar to a rafting attraction before transitioning back into slide sections. According to the manufacturer, PowerRAPIDS achieves a capacity of up to 1,440 people per hour and can be used by riders from a height of one metre (40 inches).
