(eap) From mid-October, The Dream Rooms will invite visitors in Munich to immerse themselves in the world of dreams. Ten individually designed rooms combine light, sound, tactile elements and large-scale installations to create imaginative environments that encourage visitors to discover, marvel and explore through play.
Highlights include “Dream Drift”, a barefoot journey into the “subconscious”, the high-energy “Disco Pit” and the “Descension Chamber” by London-based light artist Frankie Boyle. In the “Valley of Feelings”, more than 300 beanbags form a walkable hilly landscape, while the surreal “Duck Den” features a giant duck-themed ball pit. The “Reflection Realm”, meanwhile, transports visitors into a mirrored fantasy world designed to encourage self-reflection. VIP ticket holders also gain access to the “VR Pool” – billed by the organisers as the world’s first virtual reality experience in a ball pit.
Each of the ten rooms features specially composed music designed to enhance its atmosphere and emotional impact. The soundtrack was created in collaboration with producer and composer Jonatan Bäckelie. Visitors should expect around 90 minutes for the experience, which is presented by event platform Fever and exhibition producer and distributor Exhibition Hub.
“The Dream Rooms was created to bring back a feeling that many adults have lost over time: the feeling of discovering something for the first time. That spark of something new,” explains Grant Dudson, Global Creative Director at Fever Originals. “It is an invitation to explore the unknown, let go of logic and simply feel – just as we do in dreams.” ■
