Emerald Park Reveals Details of “Lost Valley: Land of Dinosaurs”

As a new attraction in the redesigned themed area “Lost Valley: Land of Dinosaurs”, Emerald Park will soon open a Wild Swing aimed at families.

(eap) Emerald Park, located around a 30-minute drive from Dublin, is aiming to delight visitors soon with a redesigned themed area: “Lost Valley: Land of Dinosaurs” is set to open in summer and, alongside already familiar and newly redesigned attractions, will also feature a brand-new family ride.

The new attraction is a giant swing of the “Wild Swing” model by German manufacturer Art Engineering. In a gondola featuring two parallel rows of eight seats each, arranged back-to-back, riders will swing up to a height of around twelve metres. Designed as an attraction for a broad age group, the ride does not include inversions and, with its gentle dynamic swinging movements, is intended to create joyful anticipation and thrills.

At the heart of the dinosaur world, the family roller coaster “Dino Dash” – a “Kalypso” model by Vekoma – will offer visitors the chance to experience a popular park classic in a fresh setting: New theming and decoration elements will create a prehistoric atmosphere, supported by roaring sound effects and large dinosaur figures that bring the area to life. New themed food and beverage offerings will round off the redesigned themed area, into which an investment sum of around three million euros has been made, including the new additions.

Charles Coyle, Managing Director of Emerald Park, commented: “We’re delighted to bring ‘Lost Valley: Land of Dinosaurs’ to life for our guests. This exciting re-theme builds on some of our most popular attractions, like Dino Dash, while introducing new elements that enhance the overall experience. The addition of a brand-new family ride, along with immersive theming and interactive moments, ensures there’s plenty for both returning visitors and first-time explorers to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming everyone to experience it for themselves in summer 2026.” ■
