“Tír Na nÓg” Celtic Theme World at Emerald Park Now Open

Managing Director of Emerald Park, Charles Coyle at Tír Na nÓg

(eap) This week, the time had finally come for the numerous guests at Emerald Park in Ireland: the new and, for the first time, fully themed area “Tír Na nÓg” was officially opened and the three new attractions were put into operation. Visitors can immerse themselves in a world of Irish myths and legends and have fun on two roller coasters and a Wave Swinger. The “Na Fianna Force” Suspended Thrill Coaster and the “Quest” Family Boomerang were supplied by Vekoma, the Wave Swinger with the name of “The Celtic Dreamer” by the German manufacturer Zierer. Food outlets and shops complement the attractions. The park, which was founded in Ashbourne (near Dublin) in 2010 and comprises a total of 40 rides and attractions as well as a zoo, has invested around 22 million euros in its first fully designed theme world.

“We are thrilled to unveil Tír Na nÓg after seven years of dedicated work and innovation. This new addition to Emerald Park is not only our commitment to creating unparalleled experiences but also a landmark in amusement park attractions with Europe’s longest intertwining coasters right here in Ashbourne, Co. Meath,” comments Charles Coyle, Managing Director of Emerald Park, adding, “The opening is a testament to the enduring legacy of my late father and founder of Emerald Park, Raymond Coyle who I know would be so proud of our team today and would have enjoyed all the madness and fun of our opening day. We look forward to welcoming guests to explore and immerse themselves in the magic of our first immersive land – Tír Na nÓg.”

“We are thrilled to see the opening of the Tír Na nÓg rollercoasters at Emerald Park, featuring Europe’s longest intertwining coasters, Na Fianna Force and The Quest. The collaboration with Emerald Park has been a fantastic journey, and we believe these coasters will set a new benchmark for thrill and excitement in the theme park industry,” states Stefan Holtman, Sales Manager of Vekoma Rides.

Robin van der Want, Business Development Director at theming company Jora Vision, says: “We were delighted to work on the theming strategy of Emerald Park’s biggest expansion yet. Where the coasters already are nothing short of immersive, we are incredibly proud of the dedicated team behind the Tír Na nÓg theming at Emerald Park. Their creativity and passion have brought this enchanting vision to life, ensuring an immersive experience that captures the magic and mythology of Tír Na nÓg.”
