In the Portuguese themed area, a new “Wild Swing XL” from ART Engineering will send guests swinging up to a height of 14 metres above the “Portuguese Lake”. The attraction promises a combination of family fun and thrills. Its theming will draw inspiration from the Portuguese coast and present an extraordinary tale of invention centred around creative ingenuity.
The Icelandic themed area is also set to welcome a new addition: An interactive tower attraction from abc rides will be built between the “WODAN – Timburcoaster” wooden roller coaster and the “blue fire Megacoaster”, combining an entertaining ride experience with panoramic views across the themed area.

Visitors can also look forward to the return of a familiar favorite in the Italian themed area, where the popular gondola ride “Enzo’s Piccolo Mondo” is set to shine in new splendor following a refurbishment. Having delighted younger visitors for more than 40 years, the themed ride is one of Europa-Park’s long-standing classics.
With these additions announced, Europa-Park continues to expand and enhance its attraction portfolio. In 2026, the resort has already invested in numerous expansions and new experiences, including the extensive development of “Silver Lake City” (see EAP 5/2026), the opening of “Monaco” as the park’s 18th themed area and the new “Sallys Café” in the Icelandic themed area. The park’s cinematic offering has also been expanded with the new 4D short film “SNORRI 4D” at the “Magic Cinema 4D”. ■
