(eap) Freizeit-Land Geiselwind in Lower Franconia has officially opened the gates to its latest attraction: With the dark ride “Ravenmoor Academy”, the Bavarian amusement park is presenting a new indoor attraction embedded in the equally new “Raven Woods” themed area.

Behind the gates of the mysterious “Ravenmoor Academy” castle, guests can experience a themed ride centered around the protagonist “Mora”, who accompanies passengers on their journey through the castle walls. Various special effects, a specially composed soundtrack and detailed theming are designed to immerse visitors deeply in the storyline. The attraction was realized in collaboration with the German company aufwind, which was responsible for the theming, soundtrack and special effects as well as the full-motion ride system.

In addition to the ride, a café overlooking Ravenmoor Academy and a newly designed castle park area have been created. Furthermore, Freizeit-Land Geiselwind’s main entrance has been completely redesigned, and the park has also expanded its offering in other areas: The new additions include the kiddie ride “Fruchtdino Wirbelspaß” (Engl.: Fruit Dino Spinning Fun) and the more than 1.000-square-metre indoor playground “Tukis Dinofarm” for younger visitors. The roller coaster “Wilde Hilde”, which was taken over from Schwaben Park, is also set to open shortly. Later this year, a full-motion boat ride with a new ride system from aufwind is also scheduled to open at Geiselwind under the name “Das Geheimnis des Drachentempels” (Engl.: The Secret of the Dragon Temple). ■
