Germany: Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim Finishes Conversion Works at IMAX 3-D Cinema

During the last few weeks, Germany's automobile and technology museum Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim updated its IMAX 3-D cinema with the modern IMAX 4K laser technology (cf. EAP News from December 8, 2015). The film theatre presents two new documentations starting today. In “Zero Gravity - Mission in Space 2-D” the spectators join the German ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst on his journey into space and get an impression of everyday life aboard the space station ISS. The film was completely produced in digital 4K resolution and optimized for the cinema's IMAX 4K laser projection and the 12-channel surround sound system. “Wild America - The Most Beautiful National Parks 3-D” shows the USA's national parks' original and most spectacular landscapes.

Furthermore, visitors now have the possibility to see the 3-D documentations “Hubble 3-D”, “Humpback Whales in the Pacific Ocean 3-D”, “Back to Wilderness 3-D” and “Depth of the Seas 3-D”, which were already shown before the conversion works started, in brilliant and high-definition laser 4K quality. As from the end of March, the cinema will also present selected blockbusters on its 27 x 22 meter screen. The first film will be the action movie “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice 3-D” debuting in Germany on March 24. (eap)
