Germany: FORT FUN Abenteuerland to Attract Visitors with Drive-in Cinema and Dinosaur Exhibition

After a successful winter season at its FORT FUN L.A.B.S. indoor playground (see also our report in EAP, 3/16) with an increase in attendance of 16 percent, Germany’s FORT FUN Abenteuerland, which was taken over by Looping Group in 2017 (c.f. EAP news from April 27^th, 2017), has announced new visitor attractions for its upcoming “open air” season, starting this Friday.

For the first time, the park will host a drive-in cinema during this year’s Whitsun holidays in May. Directly adjacent to the park, spectators will be able to enjoy popular blockbuster productions and new 2018 movie releases on a 16 x 8 meter large screen, complemented by a modern sound system. During the peak season in July and August, visitors will be able to discover a primeval landscape with life-size dinosaur models (supplied by Wolter Design), located in the forest around the park’s chairlift. At the top of the hill, guests are provided with interesting facts on dinosaurs and the early earth history. For their way back down to the valley, guests can take a ride on the “Trapper Slider” alpine coaster, the toboggans of which have been upgraded with new belts, brake levers and seat harness buckles for an increased level of safety.
