Germany: New Temporary Exhibition at Zeitgeschichtliches Forum Leipzig
Until January 7th, 2018, visitors to the Zeitgeschichtliches Forum Leipzig can enjoy an exhibition about German history in movies (G.: “Inszeniert. Deutsche Geschichte im Spielfilm”), showcasing in seven different sections more than 500 objects such as scripts, posters, props and movie sections. The exhibits demonstrate how cinema and television productions shape and influence our collective historical awareness.
Popular productions feature themes such as German National Socialism, the “Economic Miracle” or RAF terrorism. Also, some movies provide guests with a different perspective on current topics such as “refugees & displaced persons”. Visitors awaits a large collection of different productions of many genres focusing on German history. (eap)
